One emerging scheme to satisfy this demand is to leverage the wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technologies developed for core transport networks. However, to implement this type of solution it is important to reduce the cost of transmitters. To accomplish this, the laboratories of Professors M\u00e9nard and Nabki, in collaboration with the company AEPONYX, are working to develop a solution based on silicon photonics to create an ultra-compact channel selection mechanism that can be integrated in these transmitters. This mechanism uses a planar microelectromechanical mirror invented at UQAM. The innovative technologies resulting from this work will enable the implementation of novel network architectures and services by telecommunication operators.[:fr]L\u2019apparition de nouveaux services avanc\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des centres de donn\u00e9es, tel que l\u2019informatique nuagique et la virtualisation, requi\u00e8re une augmentation de la capacit\u00e9 de transfert entre les utilisateurs et l\u2019infrastructure informatique. Une solution en \u00e9mergence pour r\u00e9soudre ce probl\u00e8me est l\u2019incorporation de technologies de multiplexage en longueur d\u2019onde, originalement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es pour les r\u00e9seaux longue distance, \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des r\u00e9seaux locaux et r\u00e9gionaux. Cependant, pour mettre en \u0153uvre ce type de solution il est important de r\u00e9duire le co\u00fbt des transmetteurs. Pour accomplir cela, les laboratoires des Professeurs M\u00e9nard et Nabki, en collaboration avec la compagnie AEPONYX, travaillent au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une solution bas\u00e9e sur la photonique sur silicium pour cr\u00e9er un m\u00e9canisme de s\u00e9lection de canal ultra-compact pouvant \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de ces transmetteurs. Ce m\u00e9canisme utilise un micro-miroir \u00e9lectrom\u00e9canique planaire invent\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019UQAM.
