The technique has been adopted rapidly by many specialist, including ophthalmologist and cardiologist, but its wide spread use is limited by the high acquisition cost of OCT systems. To reduce the size and cost of OCT machines, we are investigating how to implement their opto-mechanical systems on a chip. This will enable the low cost batch production of OCT systems and remove the high precision assembly process currently required.[:fr]La tomographie par cohérence optique (TCO) est une technique d’imagerie médicale non-invasive à haute résolution qui permet aux médecins d’observer jusqu’à 3 millimètres à l’intérieur des tissues.
